Biography
About Alex Ngo
Alex Ngo is a composer-lyricist, music director, arranger, pianist, and educator whose work bridges musical theater, concert performance, dance, and arts education. An Oberlin Conservatory graduate and member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, Alex has collaborated with organizations including National Asian Artists Project, Alvin Ailey, the New York Film Academy, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and National Dance Institute.
His work has also been heard at New York performance venues including 54 Below and The Green Room 42. As an educator and music director, Alex helps performers connect musicianship with character, text, rhythm, and ensemble storytelling—giving young artists the tools to approach material with confidence, curiosity, and professional discipline.
