We are our vision and resources to the power of our students.
Eduardo Jimenez Pons, and Coty Manriquez, have created, written, and directed many successful shows for NBC Universal Telemundo, Univision, Disney, and Nickelodeon. Most importantly, they are the parents of a young actor who made his Broadway debut at the age of 11 years old. That experience and their subsequent realization of the lack of musical theatre educational programs for serious and professional young performers inspired Eduardo and Coty to gather great Broadway stars, the best professional coaches, teachers, casting directors, managers, agents, choreographers, and directors to create such a place, and in 2017, partnering with Ron and Linda Harris, and Stephen and Pamela DellaPietra, also parents of young Broadway performers, they created The Broadway Star Project.
A safe space for young performers to advance their dreams and careers through top-tier education and fun-filled real-life experiences.
After listening to the stories of kids and parents from Broadway shows and tours, as well as from casting directors, talent agents, managers, actors, coaches, directors, choreographers, and producers, we developed a support system for parents and a structure to generate real opportunities for young aspiring actors and young Broadway performers who are currently between shows. This initiative would assemble the people and resources for young actors to learn and grow their craft in a professional environment. Top teachers, coaches, and mentors would capture the young artist's attention, push them to their full potential, and inspire their imaginations as they embark on this exciting journey to achieve their dreams.
Dream big! Make it happen!
Today, at The Broadway Star Project, we run several programs throughout the year in New York City. We have expanded our operation to Mexico, Guatemala and plan to begin programming in U.K., Spain, and Italy. Legendary venues like 54 Below and the Radio City Music Hall frequently invite our students to perform on their stages. We produce two albums, one EP, six live shows, and two music videos every year. Our student body consists of young professional Broadway and Hollywood actors, as well as aspiring performers. We premiered our first Holiday musical in 2018 and filmed our first Holiday Special in 2020, featuring Broadway, Radio City, and BSP stars! But, as Coty Manriquez says, "Our greatest accomplishment is that because of our programs, our students are getting representation, many more callbacks, job offers, and a higher confidence level."
Our programs always have Broadway stars and industry professionals to teach, mentor, and inspire our students.
