Conceived by Eduardo Jimenez Pons and Coty Manriquez, seasoned creators and directors with a track record at Televisa, NBC Universal Telemundo, Univision, Disney, and Nickelodeon, The Broadway Star Project is a visionary endeavor. Inspired by their journey as parents of a Broadway debutant at age 11, Eduardo and Coty recognized a gap in musical theatre education for serious young performers, and in collaboration with Ron and Linda Harris, as well as Stephen and Pamela Della Pietra, fellow Broadway parents, in 2017, they established The Broadway Star Project as a New York City-based initiative where top teachers, coaches, and mentors would capture the young artists' attention, push them to their full potential, and inspire their imaginations as they embark on this exciting journey to achieve their dreams.
BSP envisions a secure haven where young performers can nurture their dreams and careers through top-notch education and immersive real-world experiences. Drawing insights from Broadway insiders, including casting directors, talent agents, and managers, BSP has developed a robust support system for parents and a framework to create genuine opportunities for aspiring actors.
Our mission is to provide a professional environment for young artists to learn and grow, surrounded by leading Broadway and Hollywood stars, coaches, mentors, and industry professionals. Through our programs, we inspire and enable young talents to Dream Big and Make It Happen.
In our commitment to comprehensive artistic development, BSP has expanded its educational spectrum to include voice, film, and TV acting. Beyond musical theatre, we offer training in these crucial areas to equip our students with a diverse skill set, preparing them for a broader range of opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Since its inception, BSP has expanded its reach from New York City to Mexico City and Guatemala City, with plans for programs in Madrid, Spain. Our students have graced prestigious venues like 54 Below and Radio City Music Hall. Up until 2023, BSP has annually produced and published two albums, one EP, six live shows, and two music videos with a student body that comprises emerging Broadway and Hollywood actors alongside aspiring performers.
BSP's impact goes beyond the stage. Our students have gained representation and received numerous callbacks, job offers, and elevated confidence levels.* Coty Manriquez rightly notes, "Our greatest accomplishment is the tangible success our students achieve through our programs."
